This was a piece for Todd Phillips's 2019 Film "Joker." It gave the first glimpse of the Joker makeup to the public. The idea was a plain clothed Arthur would have his Joker alter-ego projected onto him. As the flashes increase in frequency, we get a glimpse of his Joker character and then a fast colorful flash to the full Joker reveal. Using a few expressions and color solids I was able to create a filmic, in-camera-esque effect that won BOND a Key Art for Innovation. I am still trying to figure out exactly what that means, but was pleased to work on this and be part of the team that won.
